The bridesmaid

I wrote this a month or two back, but given the recent news about the SCOTUS, it seemed appropriate to post it now...

  1. Hm... interesting. Lucky for her this happened, so she could discover her affinity with the female gender.

The first caption seemed kinda preachy and didn't felt right for a world where lesbian marriage should be normal.

Otherwise gender separatism is stupid. Like most kinds of ideological separatism.

    Great caption,

  2. Hmm. I can see your point that pointing out that she's cool with gay marriage is a little odd. Partly I felt I had to include that because, well, people are reading this in our world, where a lot of people aren't cool with that sort of thing. And even nowadays, there are a lot of countries where being gay is illegal - where the death penalty applies - so I suspect that there will still be people in the world who object to gay marriage for at least the next fifty years.
As for separatism? You're not wrong - it's an extreme solution and arguably more akin to giving up on fixing a social problem and running away from it. Though the idea still fascinates me, particularly with regard to gender. What would an all-female culture look like? Or an all male one?
