Coping with SOGTS

  1. She obviously doesn't have fun. Well that's the difference between government propaganda and reality, I guess.
Anyway, does this hypno-therapy stuff really work like this. I kind of doubt it, or it would be used as "cure" against being transgendered.

Thanks for writing/posting this interesting and probably neccesary story,

  2. Yeah, in my experience - with hypnotherapy tapes for stopping smoking, etc - hypnotherapy does work, but it doesn't have the radical effects some people think it does. That said, it's probably a lot more effective being hypnotised by an actual person, and some researchers say that some people are more easily hypnotised than others. There's actually quite a bit of controversy about it.
But I reckon hypnotherapy could cause a gradual change in attitude like the one in this story. Of course, being transgendered may be different to SOGTS - there's some evidence that suggests that transgender (MtoF) people have physically different brains to non-tg males - that they almost literally have 'female brains' in male bodies. Although there is a lot of research still to do, all evidence suggests that SOGTS has a feminising effect both on the brain and the body.
