Who knows what's happening just out of shot? Who's speaking? How many people are there? How did they put poor 'Claire' in this position? These questions are best left to the imagination of the reader...
Think about it! One could say the whole rest of the frikin cosmos is outside the shot. Alas, we may never learn the truth about this poor blokes plight - so many unanswered questions that we just has to move on ;) ~CL
Heh, fair enough. What I meant was that people tend to fill in the gaps with their own imaginations - if they choose to do so. I'm not saying there's one definitive solution that the reader is expected to infer from close reading of the caption :)
Good question! Might be an interesting poll, "How many men (and woman - for equal opportunity) pee standing up at home". Reminds me of the movie "Conspiracy Theory" with Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts wherein the bad guy gives himself away by making the claim that he always sits. Too funny to think that was ever a plot twist in any movie. ~Clare
Beyogi- I thought it was pretty standard for men to pee standing- the vast body of bad feminist rants about 'he always leaves the toilet seat up' would attest to this. Clare - I saw Conspiracy Theory a long time back but can't remember that bit. What the hell happened? How did I forget?
