I'm a bit curious why she transititioned, considering she's claiming she wasn't transgendered before. Is she lying about that for social reasons? Or did she just experiment and being a girl turned out way better than expected?
That's an entirely legitimate (but actually quite difficult) question. It's not obvious what sort of world this cap is from - people still have some of our taboos about gender and expect some kind of consistency, but it's normal for boys to spend time as girls growing up. I imagine this is a world where people are under pressure (social, legal, economic) to pick a sex and stick with it long term, though a certain amount of fluidity is encouraged while young. As for what could cause a young (straight, cis) man to suddenly change his mind and go girl... well, therein lies the question. An experiment? A sudden need to be someone else? It's a good question, but one that might be best left open...
