I posted this on Wednesday, but the site was playing silly-buggers, and even though it looked okay to me, a couple of people have said they couldn't see it properly. Hopefully it works now for everybody. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Hey, glad it's working for everybody and not just me now. I guess you're right about the girl power thing, but it is advertising, after all. That's how people advertise to young women, so it makes sense to do the same when advertising to young men who want to be women...
Hey hey! It works :D Personally, the girl power thing makes it for me. As I've said before, so many captions are about the humiliation of being a woman, but you consistently write the uplifting fantasy fulfilling cap stories that make my Tuesdays. Where's my time machine? -DAGS
Some of the girl power stuff is a little cringe inducing - it's kind of meant to be; it's an idiotic marketers attempt to coopt some sense of empowerment for their own ends. And given the general cultural assumption of the inferiority of women - they're nice and lovely and of course they can do anything they put their pretty little minds to, but you wouldn't actually want to be one! - any feminisation company is going to want to combat that 'feminisation is inherently humiliating' idea. People keep saying that my caps are so uplifting and positive, and some of them are, but others are fairly dark and sadistic. It's just generally I try to emphasise soft power rather than the brute force approach. Anyway, glad you liked it! I wonder what I've got in my bag of tricks for tomorrow...?
It works now.
ReplyDeleteBeing a Valerie's girl sounds nice even if they seem to overdo it on the girl power thing...
