It ain't easy

  1. This reminds me of another one of your stories. I hope there will be a sequel!

On another note, one of the things I like about your captions is that they don't shy away from some of the downsides of being female, like having to confront sexism. A lot of TG captions have a sort of "Nice Guy (TM)" vibe to them, an attitude that it's women who are privileged. Which is 180 degrees from the truth. I appreciate that your captions don't do that.

  2. Hello.
    Which story do you mean?
As for a sequel, maybe. I like leaving things open-ended, but then, there is such a thing as 'too-open ended', isn't there?
Thank you for saying that; I try to explore all aspects of gender change; the pros and the cons.

    1. "Insight" was the story I'm thinking of, I believe.

  3. Well women are privileged... it's just that most don't see it. I mean seriously, how many guys get away with being a househusband? It's probably in the same absolute numbers as female CEOs...

Here is a girl that literally has no other problems than her own insecurities. She might not be a supermodel, but she's rather cute. Well would be if it wasn't for the petulant thoughts. She's got choices. She can try to make her life as a buisiness woman. She can become a housewife. She can try to find a golden middle path.

Her brother though. If he's not cool, funny and earns tons of money he's just a loser to girls like her. That's what the feminists always forget when they whine about male privilege. The 98% of men who're not privileged. Who've got far less privileges then them, are supposed to do the dirty jobs, never complain, pay the taxes and suck up their incessant whining.

This girl, her problems are basically biology, capitalism and her own stupidity. That's not her brother's fault. She's basically being a major ass, taking a gigantic revenge for a minor slight. If her brother was thinking like her, she'd probably be a frog in a pond.

Anyway, great caption, even if I want to slap the stupid girl.

  4. Beyogi- yeah, she's certainly over-reacting in a completely over the top way; but I would disagree that women are privileged in our society. There are some areas where things probably work out in their favour - especially, if, say, a draft was declared - but over all, I don't think it's valid to say that life is easier for women. Recently in the UK there was a furore in which a woman campaigned for there to be a woman (any woman) on our new run of banknotes. She got rape threats. A politician defended her, and she got rape threats as well. It's hard to imagine something equivalent happening to a man. There's definitely a section of society that would like to see women put back in the kitchen. Things have improved, but there's still a glass ceiling out there, and there's still a boys-club mentality in much of the business world, the tech world, and other areas of modern life.
But you are right; I think she IS blaming her gender for a lot of problems which she'd still have as a guy - or at least have broadly equivalent problems instead. Somehow I doubt her life will be perfect once the spell does it's thing...
