I really liked fantasizing over this story - the excitement of the love-making, both having and being your lover. I am convinced that with the right couple this could work amazingly well, even for a whole lifetime. I know someone in my own circle who would be perfect. Any public life would have to be carefully orchestrated less the couple could be accused of polygamy. ;)
Glad you like it. I'm not so convinced it could work in practice, but I'm very cynical about relationships. I consider it a miracle that any couple stays together long enough to breed :). I can see the appeal of this sort of relationship, though juggling three different pairs of relationships (Sarah/narrator, Sarah/Michael and narrator/Michael) AND two dual identities just seems utterly unsustainable to me...
