I chose this

  1. Ugh... this is yet another pointlessly cruel and stupid punishment. It's very much counterproductive on a social level, its also bound to create lots of resentment on the individual one.
Overall it's even worse than what the US already does with its criminals, being the worst shithole of the first world in that regard. No, apparently it's not just enough to take away their voting rights forever, they also need to be marked as second class citizens for life. They can't even continue as normal women, they need to be sissies and humiliated forever.

Honestly, what's with the darkness lately? First that utter overreaction to a kid fighting back against some bullies, then that poor brainwashed forced femmed kid and now this.

  2. Sorry you didn't enjoy this, and you've been finding my recent stuff a bit darker than usual. I don't think there's any particular reason for this - it's not like things have been falling apart for me particularly recently. I've always done a mix of dark stuff and fun stuff, and it just so happens that a few of the darker ones came in a row. And the bullying one, at least, had a happy ending...
FWIW, gender and power and punishment and submission are fundamentally tied together. If I could put my feminist hat on for a sec, women have been punished simply for being female in the ways that I describe for centuries. The situations I describe are, in a sense, actually fairer than Western society - at least until a few decades ago - as the people who have all the negative baggage of femininity forced on them have actually done *something* to deserve it.
I guess I was trying to explore that idea of complete psychological submission, where people internalise and normalise the rules of the people who are punishing them. If it was fair or reasonable, it wouldn't really work as a story.
However, for the near future, at least, I *am* going to try and focus on more upbeat stuff - consensual, happy, fun and non-coercive. I hope you like them...
