Stephanie Henderson Interview and Photoshoot, 2030AD

With this cap I wanted to try and make it as realistic as possible, to get a sense of what things might be like at the dawn of a new age of gender fluidity... Hope you like it!

  1. I like this very much, thank you for this great cap.

Something like this might actually become possible in a few years. Organ printing is progressing and medicine in general is becoming better.

Though I do wonder about something. What is "vajazzled"?

  2. Glad you like it - and (obviously) I agree with you about organ printing and so on making situations like this one increasingly plausible.
As for vajazzling... Well... Normally I'd say 'google is your friend' in situations like this, but this time, perhaps not. Vajazzling is the process of decorating one's vagina with sequins and glitter and glue. To make it look jazzier: Vagina + jazz = vajazzle.
It's kind of a niche thing... thankfully. :)

  3. Truth to be told I'm curious what stuff like this is really going to do to society. Is it going to be shunned? Or is it going to reinforce gender roles? Or maybe do something about gender equality so people stop arguing from their assholeish "my privileges" position. Gender equality shouldn't be a zero sum game as it seems to be currently.

I guess they'll introduce military draft equality soon afterwards though. Depending on how assholeish or warmongering a nations military is they might end up with a college age population of 90% women.

On the other hand you might easily get a "if you don't like your gender role switch your fucking sex" attitude with females being all traditional wifes and people who actually want more than work from their life, while guys being all carrierists. Though I hope that doesn't come to pass.

Vajazzling not just makeup for the face, but also for the vagina... interesting...
Though maybe she's not as confident as she thinks she is if she considers that kind of stuff. I mean why would she be more confident than normal women? After a sex change I'd be pretty unsure of myself, truth to be told.
Though maybe she's just better to hide it. Apparently guys who're not confident don't need to worry about contraceptives :( So maybe it's not that women are taught to be ashamed of themselves, but that guys are taught they can't show any weakness basically ever.

  4. It's a good question; it could go either way; in truth, it'll probably make things more equal and less equal in different ways. In one of my previous caps, I did mention that some people wanted to change the law so that only men could vote (again), in others, I've suggested that sexism will fall apart completely. It's going to be weird and difficult to predict.
With the draft, one possibility is that they draft everyone and force them to become male - which would make a great F2M story, if anybody wants to write it...
I think she was being sarcastic when she suggesting vajazzling. As for her confidence, or lack of, I was working on the basis that transphobia has been completely abolished in this world, but, women are still taught to be meek and quiet (you may disagree, but the feminists would certainly argue this is still the case). In this (admittedly ideal) world I've set out in this cap, transwomen can teach ciswomen a thing or two about equality and self confidence simply by virtue of not having been taught all the negative things women are taught growing up.
