This advert ran in a number of magazines aimed at young men and tomgirls in the mid to late 1970s.

  1. Certainly has me out the door! The model looks like a girled Sam Weir from Freaks and Geeks, now I'm picturing 80s highschool TG stories. Any more camp stories in you? -DAGS

  2. I've never watched Freaks and Geeks, but now that you mention it, she does look like him, doesn't she?
I'd actually quite like to see some 80s highschool TG, I always felt that that was the one ingredient missing from the John Hughes oeuvre.
When you say 'more camp stories' do you mean 'set in a camp' (like this one: http://rterzanelle.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/girl-camp.html) or do you mean camp as in Camp (style) ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camp_%28style%29 ). Because if you mean the latter... well, I'm never really sure what that means. My stuff has been described as camp before, but it's not really something I consciously put into my stuff. However, given the nature of the subject (gender blending) and the radically altered social structures I describe, these caps do naturally tend to be at least in the same ballpark as 'camp'.
Either way... I don't really know what's coming next. I wouldn't rule it out. :D

  3. HAHAH! John Hughes missed out waaaay hard not doing TG in his 80s flicks! (Also, Freaks and Geeks is one season cancelled far before its time. Well worth it if you have the time!)
I meant taking place at a camp, your cap that you mentioned there being one of my favourites you've ever done! Camp style is tricky to do right, harder to define. Make it as campy as you want, but mostly do you :D -- DAGS

  4. Yeah, I'll have to give it a go some time.
Glad to clarify the 'camp' issue. Although I have no plans to do a sequel or one set at the same place *at the moment* I'll bear it in mind, and if I find any suitable images or ideas then I'll give it a go. I'm curious though - what was it about that particular story you liked so much?

  5. Hmm... Well, summer camp is this place away where anything can happen and anyone can come back totally different. The models were all good picks and the interactions and individual reactions of each person were unique and interesting. I like hearing different sides to transformation situations. The girl to guy camp was also a clever touch, and the epilogue was satisfying. I found myself dreaming of what I'd do there...I always thought girls had more fun at camp, cabin of gossip and make-up and doing hair, all the activities boys miss out on. Girly activities, sexual exploration, and mental effects of transformation are always my favourite parts of captions/stories. As always I also liked how positive and willing the whole thing was, it adds a special layer to it all.
    That...uh, help? -DAGS

  6. That's pretty helpful, actually. And it has given me an idea for a piece set at the camp...
