  1. Very nice, Rachel! Am I to understand that as part of the ceremony, she actually cut her hair? Do the men have long hair in this community?

  2. Wow... someone is really happy about her transformation. An interesting honor. I wonder how much magic exits in her society.

Thank you for this interesting caption,

  3. Shannon - oh, you mean the reference to 'when I'm a girl I'll like wearing dresses and getting my hair cut'? No, I didn't mean it like that at all. I was just going for a childish/simplistic view of gender norms - girls like clothes and getting their hair done, whereas boys like sport and find getting a haircut to be a chore at best. Though going for a girl with short hair for the pics might have made that ambiguous. Part of the reason I liked that particular model was because she has a 'boyish' look to her, as if she'd only just been transformed and was easing herself into a new identity... It's kind of a cool idea though. Something I might bear in mind for the future...
Beyogi - well, it's quite the honour for her; she does seem to be enjoying herself though! I suppose it depends on your definition of 'magic', really. I'm sure the actions of the potion can be explained by science, though it is odd how the rest of the world hasn't heard about this incredible plant...
