The Roommate

  1. Um... snob, prejudiced... I can understand why sophie would want to get away from her. Everyone would. I guess the girl might be one of those persons where everyone is too polite to tell them they're talking bullshit.

    Thanks for this caption,

  2. Well, absolutely. I'm kind of fascinated by the way women have a whole different set of social problems and politics compared to guys. At school, guys just beat the shit out of each other, but when girls are mean to each other, they have this whole complex ecosystem of bitchiness and rumourmongering and backstabbing. In fact, that's actually my theory as to why women weren't allowed to become politicians until relatively recently - the male politicians knew that the girls would put them to shame... This caption was, in part, about a guy learning to deal with that particular type of bullshit.

  3. Some female friends told me once that it actually is the reason why many girls prefer to hang out in the company of guys even if they're not interested in them sexually. Guy friends just don't want this kind of bullshit. I guess it isn't much fun to bitch to another girl if you have two or three guys trying to mediate making you look stupid.

Not sure if that is the reason. Women are pretty good at intrigue and backstabbing, but tend to be taken by suprise if the pace of the game changes. Silent backstabbs and rumormongering can also undermine your own position and make you vulnerable to an all out attack. I think guys just stop to try being subtle once they realise what is being played.

I wonder, why are women willing to put up with this? These girls politics would annoy me to no end...
